representative outside customs and immigration hall. Proceed to Kigali Marriot Hotel. Tour briefing will be at the hotel lobby, followed by dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast at your hotel. 08h30: You will be assisted with check out and settlement of extras.

You will then proceed with your driver guide on a tour of Kigali city that includes The Kigali Genocide Memorial Center and Inema arts center. Lunch will be at the Heaven Restaurant. Highlight: After the 1994 unspeakable awfulness, several burial places in the country were established as memorial sites. They include the Kigali Genocide Memorial where 250,000 genocide victims were buried. Learn about Rwanda’s history from pre-colonial times to the 1994 genocide; Learn about other genocides in the world and how this country has dealt with that past.

Afternoon, have a leisurely drive to Musanze and volcanoes national park. Arrive and check in at the lodge.

Early breakfast at the lodge then proceed to the park headquarters in time for Gorilla Trek briefing at 07h00. We will then transfer you to the start point of your guided walk that begins at 08h00. Here, your amazing adventure begins.

Volcanoes National Park protects the steep slopes of this magnificent mountain range and is the home of the rare mountain gorilla and the rich mosaic of montane ecosystems, which embrace evergreen and bamboo forest, open grassland, swamp and heath, but the high point will be spending an hour with the remarkably peaceful gorillas despite their size and appearance as they go about their daily life, feeding, playing, resting and raising their young.

After this memorable experience, you will return to the lodge in time for lunch.

This afternoon you will visit the Ibyi Iwacu village for a cultural experience.

Ibyi Iwacu is changing the traditional perception of what constitutes tourism by turning fate into fame through sharing various aspects of rural cultures and livelihoods into tourist attractions and creating income-generating activities for rural poor people that have reformed from living on bush meat and poaching for generations. Return to the Lodge for overnight.

SABYINGO SILVERBACK LODGE (FB (FB – Lunch, Dinner, Bed & Breakfast)

Have breakfast early morning and proceed for golden monkey tracking, this is another existing moment. Prior to meeting the golden monkeys, you will see other primates, fauna and flora. Finally get face to face with the beautiful golden monkeys. You will see them play as they jump from one branch of tree to the other; all this will be amazing and memorable for your safari. Drive back to Kigali and if you still have time, you can visit some craft shops and buy for yourself a souvenir. Continue to the airport for your flight and say farewell to Rwanda.

• 1 Gorilla permit per person (this includes briefing at RDB offices, guide, trek – US$ 1500.-)
• optional extras whilst in Kigali

• tips and gratuities,
• Personal expenses such as telephone calls, mini bar, porter-age, travel insurance, etc.

Gorilla permit note: Once permit is bought, it cannot be refunded or inter-changed. Before confirming the tour, please ensure that you request for availability of permits based on the number of participants because there are only 80 permits issued per day.

Passenger Information:-

– In case of non-availability, we may have to reroute and provide alternative accommodation at lodges of similar category.

– Passengers should bring only soft sided bags on safaris as our vehicles have limited luggage space

– All the passengers must have Identification Card/Passport with them throughout their travel.

TERMS OF CANCELLATION.

The parties involved shall agree the specific terms of cancellation on each case.
Under the Rwanda Legislation, the Hotels and Caterers can legally levy the following cancellation charges:-

60-46 days prior to arrival: No charge, room release

45-14 days prior to arrival: 10%

14-07 days prior to arrival: 25%

07-03 days prior to arrival: 50%
03 days-to no show : 100%

FORCE MAJEUR CIRCUMSTANCES 

In case either party suffers force majeure circumstances (that are unforeseen, inevitable and uncontrollable), such as strikes, closing of frontiers, ports and airports, bad weather, delays in departures and arrivals of the means of transportation, accidents and all services provided by a third Party, as a result of which the obligations under the present agreement cannot be fulfilled the parties shall be exonerated from their obligations without having to pay compensation for the damage caused to the other party.
